Introduction
This Privacy Notice is intended to describe the practices EY follows in relation to this microsite, which EY has developed using the Adobe
Experience Manager Tool (the “Site” or “Sites”), with respect to the privacy of all individuals whose personal data is processed and stored
in the Site. This Privacy Notice supplements the
ey.com Privacy Statement.
-
Who manages the Site?
"EY" refers to one or more of the member firms of Ernst & Young Global Limited ("EYG"), each of which is a separate legal entity and can act as a data controller in
its own right. The entity that is acting as data controller by providing this Site on which your personal data will be processed and stored is EY Global Services Limited
(an EY global entity). EY Global Services Limited licenses the Site from Adobe Systems Incorporated, 345 Park Avenue, San Jose, CA, USA 95110.
The personal data you provide in the Site may be shared by EY Global Services Limited with one or more member firms of EYG (see "Who can access your information"
section below).
The Site is hosted on Microsoft Azure servers located in Des Moines, Iowa, USA. These servers are owned by Microsoft, but managed by EY.
-
Why do we need your information?
The Site is used to present information in support of EY client pursuit and service activities, as well as more generally EY internal and external content delivery, including
EY thought leadership and event support materials.
Your personal data processed in the Site is used for user authentication and registration purposes to the extent that authentication is required for accessing the Site.
EY relies on your consent to legitimize the processing of your personal data.
The provision of your personal data to EY is optional. However, if you do not provide all or part of your personal data, we may be unable to carry out the purposes for processing.
-
What type of personal data is processed in the Tool?
The Site processes these personal data categories:
-
For EY Partners, employees, and contractors, their personal data is processed in the following way: authentication via EY’s Active Directory
(AD)/ Single Sign-On (SSO) requires access to the EY user’s email address and/or Windows user ID for authorization to access content.
-
For users outside of EY (i.e., clients and potential clients), these individuals would authenticate by providing their email address and a system-generated
password if the site is a restricted Site. If the Site is not restricted (e.g., public sites), EY does not collect any personally identifiable information from site visitors.
This data is sourced from:
-
External users of the Site will provide their email address for authentication and authorization during registration, to the extent that registration is
required for accessing the site.
- Internal users of the Site will have their EY active directory data processed for purposes of authenticating to the Site through single sign-on (SSO).
In addition, EY uses Adobe Analytics to provide reporting, visualizations, and analysis of deidentified visitor data in order to capture web metrics
about the journey of users within our websites and applications (e.g., pages viewed and links clicked), to analyze and understand overall site
traffic information, and to allow us to make informed decisions about improving our microsites. EY Global Services Limited is the data controller
for the purposes of this processing and licenses Adobe Analytics from Adobe Systems Software Ireland Limited, 4-6 Riverwalk, Citywest Business Campus,
Saggart, Dublin 24, Ireland, who hosts it in London, United Kingdom.
-
Sensitive Personal Data
Sensitive personal data reveals your racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, genetic data,
biometric data, data concerning health or data concerning sex life or sexual orientation.
EY does not intentionally collect any sensitive personal data from you via the Site. The Site’s intention is not to process such information.
-
Who can access your information?
There are two broad categories of users with access to Site data:
- EY Creative Services Group ("CSG") and Business Development personnel tasked with setting up and managing the Site and its content, as
well as access to the Site.
- The Site’s end users: (1) EY Users; and, (2) Prospective Client Users, who only have access to the Site itself.
Additionally, as noted above, deidentified visitor information will be shared with Adobe Analytics for the purpose of analyzing visitor interaction and engagement
with EY microsites.
The access rights detailed above may involve transferring personal data in various jurisdictions (including jurisdictions outside the European Union) in
which EY operates (EY office locations are listed at www.ey.com/ourlocations). EY
will process your personal data in the Site in accordance with applicable law and professional regulations in your jurisdiction. Transfers of personal data within the
EY network are governed by EY’s Binding Corporate Rules (www.ey.com/bcr).
-
Data retention
The policies and/or procedures for the retention of personal data in the Site are:
- Microsites are set to automatically de-publish (i.e., content will become unavailable to end users) 90 days from publication date unless
CSG manually extends the retention date due to a business need.
- Personal data (i.e., end user email addresses used for authentication into restricted EY microsites) are removed from each restricted
microsite when the site is manually archived within 6-9 months after de-publishing.
-
Security
EY is committed to making sure your personal data is secure. To prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, EY has technical and organizational measures to
safeguard and secure your personal data. All EY personnel and third parties EY engages to process your personal data are obliged to respect your data’s
confidentiality.
-
Controlling your personal data
EY will not transfer your personal data to third parties (other than any external parties referred to in section 6 above) unless we have your permission or
are required by law to do so.
You may be legally entitled to request details of EY’s personal data about you.
To confirm whether your personal data is processed in the Site or to access your personal data in the Site, contact your usual EY representative or email
your request to global.data.protection@ey.com.
-
Rectification, erasure or restriction of processing
